I am very excited and honored to have one of my weddings selected and featured on the Wedding Concierge! Kate and Matt had an epic and unforgettable wedding at Lake Lure that was the subject of the feature. You can see Kate & Matt’s wedding on my website here. Check out the featured article on the Wedding Concierge here! Congrats to Kate and Matt for being selected and helping to inspire future couples who are planning their weddings!

Well the Summer has pretty much come to a close, but I was able to shoot one more engagement session before the cooler air and Fall colors begin to arrive. I am excited to post images from Nicole and Nick’s engagement session from late last month. These guys will be getting married next February on Valentines Day – so looking forward to that! We managed to catch a break in the weather for the e-session, so it was not scorching hot like it had been all summer long thankfully. I love the greenery in the shots and I really love some of the black and white images from the session. Willow trees are always a favorite background and I really love how the background looks like a painting in those shots. Nicole and Nick were great to work with and the images show it! Here are some from the session:

I am honored to have been featured in the latest issue of Charlotte Wedding Magazine! Anna and Erick were the featured couple and they were married at The Saratoga Springs. You can see more of their wedding here. Their wedding was spectacular and I am so happy that their submission was featured in the latest issue. The online feature can be found here and I am excited to post it today!

I have mentioned on my blog how much I enjoy shooting in the evening/night. Shooting at night opens up so many possibilities that are not available during the day. For one, I am able to get really creative with the lighting. Sometimes I will use a video light, but other times I may decide to use off-camera strobes with a variety of different modifiers. With the shoot below, I used a large softbox and a grid mostly. But what is also cool about these shoots is that you can gel your lights, alter your white balance and get all kinds of funky colors in the background! While much of my work is wedding/family related, I also shoot teenagers and young adults. When I do these types of shoots, I like to be as creative as possible and give my clients something very different.  Here are a few from a couple of senior sessions I shot!
