What a great day it was for Lacey & Carlos’ wedding at Kingdom Hall and their reception at the Hotel Concord! Even though the day was super hot (We have had a stretch of 95+ degree days!), we got out and crafted some wonderful images of this great couple! Even before the ceremony, Lacey and Carlos had a “first look” where they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. I love first looks! It is a great time to capture those wonderful facial expressions when two people first lock eyes on one another on the biggest day of their lives.  So much anticipation and it is captured in that one moment!  I feel lucky to be apart of capturing that singular moment in time.  The images are so creamy, so silky, so natural with the trees in the background!  The love that Lacey and Carlos have for one another is easily seen in the selection of images from their first look, right through their ceremony and into their first dance as husband and wife.  Their reception at the Hotel Concord was so awesome!  It was elegant, romantic and the music was simply the best!  Congratulations Lacey and Carlos!  May your future be bright and prosperous together!

I am so happy to be presenting LeeAnna & Brian’s wedding today! You can see their very cool engagement session here. These two are among my favorite clients of all-time and they recently tied the know at Childress Vineyard!  What a cool wedding it was!  The weather was perfect and the skies were full of color that day.  LeeAnna and Brian’s love is very expressive in these photographs.  As I said in my post about their e-session, all you need to do is look at their faces to know what love is!  How cool is it that I get to be the one to record their wonderful wedding?!!  I love the purple of the skies as we walked through the vineyard, as well as the wonderful and dreamy look of the vines in the background.  The ceremony site was spectacular and I just love the close-ups of their faces as they see each other!  Their reception was fantastic and we all got to hear some pretty cool stories about these two!  Congratulations LeeAnna and Brian, I was honored to be at your wedding!

Wedding season is in full swing and I was recently at the Victorian Crow’s Nest! What a wonderful venue for a wedding! The Victorian Crow’s Nest is nestled on a large wooded property that is nothing short of gorgeous. The venue offers so many amenities for couples and their guests to enjoy during their wedding. The house is amazing and the grounds offer so much from a photography standpoint, I was in love the moment I arrived! On this special spring day, Loren and Jared were tying the knot and saying their “I do’s” in front of their friends and family. Loren and Jared are awesome and I so enjoyed shooting their engagement session last year. I love the elegant bridal images I shot of Loren (see below), those were really fun! Loren and Jared had such a special ceremony. Their little nephews rolled in on a Radio Flyer cart and later helped release balloons in honor of all four of Loren & Jared’s Grandfathers. The reception was a blast and guests had fun hamming it up and having fun with the photo booth provided by Shutter Hutch! We capped off the evening by shooting a few really cool sparkler shots! What a great wedding, congrats Loren and Jared!

It is super cool when your work is acknowledged and appreciated by others!  Recently, one of my weddings was featured on The Knot!  I am honored to have my work showcased and published by The Knot.  The article can be found here and describes one of my favorites weddings from 2014.  Lisa-Michelle and Charlie had a magical wedding at Round Peak Vineyard in Mt. Airy, NC.  You can see more of the wedding from my blog here.  I love their wedding for many reasons, but I think it stands out because of it’s warmth and the images show how magnetic the bond is between the bride and groom.  Congrats to Lisa-Michelle and Charlie on being featured on The Knot!
