All the wonderful colorful leaves may have left for the year, but there are still so many great shoots that I would like to post from December.  I had the opportunity to photograph a newborn last week and I really enjoyed the session.  Little Lucy was only 6-days old and I always get a thrill when I am chosen to take the first professional pictures of a newborn.  What was also cool is that Lucy was wide-eyed the whole time!  Far more often than not, infants are sleeping throughout the session, but not this time!  I love the B&W close-ups, as well as those with the baby in the basket.  If you are thinking about an infant session, please consider doing so within the first week of delivery.  Babies change so much and so fast that it is really important to commemorate their birth with a very early session!  Enjoy the images!

This may very well be my last “Fall” session post for the year.  I had quite a few sessions that I wanted to post on the website and I did not want to leave out my friends Sarah and Bobby.  I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding over 2-years ago and the time sure has flown by in that space.  On what turned out to be the final “leaf” weekend of the year, I was able to meet Sarah and Bobby at a spot that was still holding onto it’s orange and yellow leaves.  Here are but a few from a great November session!

I wanted to keep this train rolling by adding another Fall session that incorporates wonderful color!  The first weekend in November seemed to be the peak of color in/around Charlotte and that was the case at Belmont Abbey.  I setup most of the shots for this session under a huge tree that had this almost neon yellow color.  I have had people telling me that the colors almost look unreal, but I am here to tell you that the colors you see on my website are real!  I retouch skin on some of my shots, but the color is true, I only add a little contrast to make sure the backgrounds pop some.  This family is great!  Last year we had a wash out, but managed some nice photography indoors.  I was glad that this year we had absolutely perfect weather!  Here are some from the session.

Have you asked yourself or pondered how you might define love and happiness?  It is very hard to verbally define what those words actually mean.  I am not sure if I have ever heard or read a definition that truly expresses what those feelings are.  It is so hard to express what it really means to be in love and to be happy.  However, I am blessed in that I can see what love and happiness is through my camera all the time, even if I could not define it.  If you have ever really wondered what “love” is, or what “happiness” is, then look no further!  All you really need to do is take a look at the images of LeeAnna and Brian down below and you will know exactly what those two words mean.  I shoot many sessions and weddings per year and see these expressions often, but I could not help but feel a renewed sense of these feelings when shooting this wonderful couple!  What I mean is that their feelings for each other bubble over, are palpable, tangible, and very genuine.  It made the session all the more fun for me, since I was able to feed off of their energy and produce some stunning shots.  I look forward to LeeAnna and Brian’s wedding, as I anticipate that I will capture their love for one another all over again!  Congratulations guys, it was great spending part of the day with you!
