This winter has turned out to be pretty mild and warm on occasion. When I first talked with Erin about her engagement session we imagined layered clothing with cold/winter overtones. Instead, it was nearly 80 degrees out on this February day which makes these images feel more spring-like than anything else! We started with some pics along an abandoned train track before moving on to a country setting complete with a barn. I love the warmth of the images we got on this day! It’s hard to beat fields with tall grass, barns, fences, and that orange glow of the sun. Erin and Stephen look great and there are so many wonderful smiles and happy moments in these images. I look forward to their wedding in May!

When Sherry and Adam contacted me about photographing their nuptials at Westglow Resort & Spa I was super excited! The two of them planned their marriage as more of an elopement, with their parents in attendance. They would say their “I do’s” in a very private way in front of their family in one of the most picturesque environments imaginable. I was honored to be among the select few people to witness their marriage and capture their love for one another on this very beautiful day, atop a mountain in Blowing Rock, NC. Their ceremony was very special and you can see the emotion of the moment in their faces, especially when they said their vows and tears began to well in Sherry’s eyes. I could not help but to be personally overcome by the majesty of the surroundings as I documented this momentous occasion in their lives. After the ceremony, I had the rare treat of having as much time as I wanted to lead them around the property at Westglow and take their pictures. I am not sure what I liked the most, the wide-angle mountains as the backdrop, or the facade of the Greek Revival mansion built atop a mountain! Maybe I like using the huge columns the most, or perhaps it was the shots in the Adirondack chairs that were the most fun! As a photographer, this couple and location proved to be a wonderland for sure. After I finished my time there, I looked back and thought about how lucky I was to have met Sherry and Adam and spend the afternoon with them in Blowing Rock. They are a very special couple who chose a magical place to forever chisel their love for one another in matrimony and I was happy to be included in that wonderful day! Here are some of my favorite shots…

I first met Ellen and Gavin when we shot their engagement session over this past summer. We met very near where they would have their wedding and I knew it would be a great! Ellen and Gavin decided to tie the knot at Gavin’s Grandparents farm in Oakboro and it was one of the highlights of my 2016 wedding season. The rustic feel of the property along with all the elegance of the wedding blended seamlessly together and I had such a great time doing my thing! Ellen and Gavin were blessed with wonderful fall weather and a nice breeze as well. The property gave me a wonderful canvas with which to shoot Ellen and Gavin, along with their wedding party and family/friends. The rows of pine trees, the pond, the corn field and the barn were just some of the features that made this wedding-day and property fantastic! Ellen and Gavin did such a wonderful job planning this wedding. The attention to detail was second to none and the amount of detail put into the wedding was exceptional. I love all the unique items they put together to make this wedding their own! It truly was a happy day and Ellen and Gavin’s love for each other is very much visible from their expressions on their face. The wedding party was a blast to work with. Congrats you guys, I was so happy to be apart of your special day!

yenilmezler 3 izle - Merely wanna remark that you have a very nice web site , I like the pattern it actually stands out. Karrie Ernst Farrison

Recently I had the opportunity to shoot at a venue that I had not worked at before. The Red Fez Shrine Club sits on the shores of Lake Wylie, within eye-shot of the Buster Boyd Bride that links North and South Carolina. It has picturesque views all around the property and a wonderful spot right on the lake for wedding ceremonies. Best of all, it sports some spectacular sunsets as you will see below. Sherrelyn and Richard would chose this spot as the site of their wedding and I was honored to be there to capture their nuptials. Sherrelyn was stunning in her wedding dress and I love her pre-ceremony pictures lit from a single window. After the ceremony we used the lake as our backdrop for a few romantic shots of the Sherrelyn and Richard, before finishing up later in the evening with some silhouettes at sunset. What a wonderful day it turned out to be! Here are some of my favorites from the day.
