The leaves are changing and the photos are becoming color rich by the day!  Here is another great session from this fall that I am excited to share.  It was fun hanging and meeting another great family and making/capturing memories on camera.  We were able to get some really cool shots on our trek through the woods at a local park and I am loving the yellows and golden colors that are showing up in the background of the images.  Smiles are infectious and run throughout the images.  I am looking forward to more sessions like this!

Kenya and Andrew were married at the beautiful River Hills Country Club in Lake Wylie, South Carolina.  River Hills has this incredible view of Lake Wylie and the combination of the lake and the tree-lined course makes for an excellent wedding location.  I loved Kenya & Andrew’s wedding ceremony overlooking the lake!  Andrew did something unique, in that he turned toward the lake and waited for Kenya to come all the way down the isle before he turned to look at her for the first time.  I thought that was really cool!  It was hard not to get emotional as I photographed the ceremony, because many of the family and friends were tearing up and trying to hold back the floodgates!  The twilight shots are among my favorites of Kenya and Andrew and I really like the warn tones that we captured on the course right before the sunlight had nearly faded away.  The reception was great and again it was hard to hold back the tears during some of the first dances.  Kenya and her dad brought down the house when they preformed a dance medley to some popular music!  The couple had a gorgeous Fall wedding cake with photos of their own parents cake cutting on the cake table.  I had a great time at the wedding and could not be happier with the photos.  Best wishes to Kenya and Andrew!

The Fall is upon us and this is the best time of year for family portraits.  The glow of the leaves as they change colors adds to the flair of an outdoor session.  Cramerton, NC was the location for this fun family shoot.  Although the leaves were only just beginning to change, the back-light of the sun provided enough of a “punch” to the leaves that it created a warm feel to the session.  This session is very representative of the type of photography that I provide.  It shows a mix of both candids and traditional poses, but all with a more modern flair.  I like crisp flowing portraits that are TACK sharp!  I love painterly backgrounds that glow!  These images were shot with this in mind, as well as the intention of using the images for this family’s holiday card.  The colors are coordinated together in such a way as to blend with the season and show the uniqueness of the family.  I love this time of year!
