The Dairy Barn is such a great place for a wedding!  It has all the components of a great wedding venue, the picturesque landscape, awesome ceremony area, silo where you can toss the bouquet and garter (ok, maybe not a requirement for an excellent wedding venue, but it is pretty awesome!), it has it all.  Becca and Adam were recently married there and I had the distinct pleasure of photographing their wedding.  I took advantage of both great lighting and a wonderful landscape with which to take their pictures.  I love the sunset shots, the couple in front of the Dairy Barn, as well as the fun shots at the top of the silo.  At the end you will see some of the photos taken in my photo booth.  A photo booth is an excellent way to take funny pictures with your friends and family and have a lad of fun while doing it.  Congrats to Becca and Adam!

With Fall rapidly approaching, I thought it would be nice to showcase the possibilities available for seasonal photography.  Fall is my favorite time of year, both personally and professionally.  I love the crisp cool weather, the color of the leaves, the feeling in the air.  Fall is the perfect time for photography and I love being able to vary both the clothing and the locations.  Backgrounds are so important to my photography, so having explosive colors fading together behind my clients is what I love most about Fall photography.  Becca & Adam met me at Freedom Park, as well as uptown for their engagement session.  I will be posting there awesome wedding at the Dairy Barn shortly.  They were naturals in front of the camera and we had a good time shooting the session.  What I like about this session is the combination of great Fall color, as well as the mixture of urban landscapes and views of the Charlotte skyline.  Enjoy these images!

I am continuing with a theme today – bridal sessions.  In my last post I mentioned some of the benefits of bridal sessions, as well as the challenges that photographers face creating quality bridal portraiture on either the wedding day, or during an actual bridal session.  With the following bridal session I have selected a number of images that represent a range of what I like to accomplish during a typical session.  I like the classic, traditional full-length shots of the bride in her dress, but I also like varying the shots beyond the traditional.  Some of the shots include half-length, three-quarter length, as well as close-up shots.  Also, I also enjoy getting profiles of the bride, as well as shots from behind.  In this way, I hope to have more than traditional shots and smiles and have a full range of photography that captures the mood of the session and the personality of the bride.  Lindsay is one of my recent clients who I enjoyed working with.  Here are some of the images from her session.
