I love the Duke Mansion.  From time to time I get over there to shoot a bridal session and the property is stunning to say the least.  I love the floors, the huge windows, the large artwork, the staircase, I could go on….  I recently had the opportunity to photograph a family session there and see the property in new and unique ways.  The Brown family was wonderful to work with and their children were just adorable.  We made our way inside the mansion and their girls smiled the whole way through!  I love the elegant backgrounds of the mansion and the checkered floors combined with the beautiful dresses the girls were wearing really looked great.  What a great session!

Averie is so cute!  I have been friends with her mom for years, so when Averie came along I was excited to be able to be there to take her picture.  This time around we planned the session for the flowers, the blossoms, the springtime!  Averie wore a couple of different outfits and looked great against the vibrant colors of Spring.  What a great time for photos.

Brent - She is a cute one for sure.

If I could describe Stacy & Brad’s wedding in two words it would be – SIMPLY AWESOME!  Both of them are really great people and I was honored to be their photographer.  Their wedding was fun, energetic, full of laughs, and everyone had a blast from beginning to end.  I can’t tell you how awesome it is from the photographer end to have such a cool group to work with and how fun that makes my job!  Moreover, Stacy & Brad had 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen in their wedding party (and a ring bearer!) who were less than camera shy 🙂  Certainly one of THE BEST bridal parties I have worked with – you guys/gals rocked it!  What can I say about the ceremony site and venue, other than quality places for your wedding/reception.  I’ve worked St. Alban’s before and it is beautiful church and fantastic place, love the ceremony shots.  I’ve worked The Point innumerable times and it is a premiere site for the greater Charlotte area one of my favorites.  Congrats Stacy & Brad!!!  It was fun, LOVE these images!

    T. Marlowe - Brent, Stacy & Brad’s wedding is my favorite of your wedding photography so far! Sweet, fun sense of humor, beautiful couple. I especially love the photo of the bridesmaid blowing the kiss to Brad, so sweet!

Duoimagery - I just stumbled across your blog – your work is gorgeous! -beth

Destination engagement session!  I was excited to be driving up I-85 from Charlotte to Durham to meet Stephanie and Johnathan for an engagement session.  They will be having what is sure to be a fantastic beach wedding later in the year, but on this day I met them at Sarah Duke Gardens to start the session.  I love destination sessions and weddings and was looking forward to working with Stephanie and Johnathan and finding interesting places at the gardens to capture their connection.  Stephanie had the great idea to bring along some painted letters that spelled “I DO” and that made for a cool shot!  The weather was awesome for a February day and I could not believe the colors I was getting for this time of year.  I think that Stephanie and Johnathan looked fantastic and their personalities shine through!  They were great to work with and great in front of the camera.  After spending some time at the gardens we moved on to the America Tobacco District for a little more “vintage” flair.  I absolutely love some of the images that we captured while there, it was an awesome shoot!  Here are some of my favs that I am excited to reveal, can’t wait for the bridal and wedding:
