Matt & Natalie were married at the beautiful Belk Chapel on the campus of Queens University of Charlotte (I shot their engagement session uptown not too long ago and you can see those here).  Belk Chapel is a premier location for wedding ceremonies in Charlotte, with its huge columns and traditional charm.  Before the ceremony I met up with Natalie over at the Duke Mansion for some pre-ceremony bridal party shots.  Pre-wedding shots are always fun and the Duke Mansion is as good as it get for getting ready shots.  In fact, it is such a great place I shot Natalie’s bridal session at the mansion which can be seen here.  I was excited to get some great shots at the mansion, as well as of Matt and the guys once I got over to Belk Chapel where they were getting ready.  Matt and Natalie’s ceremony was wonderful and I was happy to be there to capture it.  After the ceremony we took advantage of the great setting around the chapel to capture some sizzling shots of the two of them!  There reception rocked and pretty much non-stop dancing!  Congrats to the newlyweds!

Brent - Thanks Brian! Hope your doing well.

Oh what a hot day it was for Jason & Ashleigh’s wedding at the Mint Museum.  They had a fantastic wedding that was threatened by thunderstorms (a really torrential downpour soaked the outdoor ceremony location not an hour before the ceremony!).  The steam from the rain turned it into a sauna.  Luckily, despite the heat and threat of rain, the skies were clear and the outdoor wedding was just incredible.  Jason and Ashleigh are just a delight to be around and their affection for each other is very apparent in person and in front of the camera.  The lighting around the Mint Museum on their wedding day was superb!  The romantic shots of them were glowing.  Jason and Ashleigh rented this really old antique car for their exit (sorry, don’t know the model/year) and we went outside after dark for some cool night shots.  I really like to try and take couples out for night shots if time permits, it is one of my specialties! A special thanks to MCG Wedding & Events who provided DJ & coordinating services with which I was partnered up.

What could be better than a sleeping baby in the park?  I can’t think of anything!  I met up with a great family recently and setup some cool shots of their newborn at Freedom Park, along with their son.  It was a fun shoot with the colors, the leaves, the geese, and the baby in the grass!  Their son is adorable and the family was great to work with.  Love the pink flower cap!  I really enjoy working with great families like this and the shoot was fun.

Not too long ago I had the pleasure of photographing Evan & Angela’s engagement session and that was awesome.  You can see that here.  That session was and still is one of my favorites in a long time because of the vintage feel and the fact that everything came together really well that day (location, great couple of course, weather, etc.).  Evan & Angela got the best dresses award that day!  So given the coolness of the engagement session, I was super pumped about their wedding.  I knew that they would be really cool to work with and that we would be at some new locations.  Byron’s is always fun to work at, but we also planned for a stop uptown from some extra fun.  Also, I setup a Photobooth at Byron’s for Evan & Angela and the shots that their guests came up with were hilarious.  Every couple should seriously consider setting up a Photobooth.  The pics below are some of my favs, the last is 12-pic spread from the photobooth.  Congrats Evan & Angela!
