Whew, it’s been a long time since I have posted anything on the blog so now is the time to get caught up.  Over the coming week I will be posting a number of sessions and weddings, many of which occurred late last year.  One such session is of a 9-month old who I have photographed a couple of times before.  She is such a cute little girl and I this was the first time I was able to photograph her outside.  I met up with her parents at one of my favorite spots and shot some cool images in front of a waterfall.  What could be better than a little one in front of a waterfall?

    Bansari - great photography

Two months ago I posted Amy & Clay’s maternity session pics here.  Well their little daughter was born not too long afterwards and so they had me come out last month to take her first pics.  Such a sweet little newbie, she barly made a peep the whole time I was there.  Amy & Clay are both very proud parents and I just love when I have pink walls to work with and great natural light like I did that day.  Congrats again Amy & Clay!  Here are a few…

I think a running theme for me lately has been to shoot nighttime / twilight engagement sessions.  At least it seems as though I have been shooting quite a few of them here lately as it has been a big request.  That’s fine with me!  I like that people appreciatethe night/urban look that is one of my specialties and want to incorporate the city lights into their engagement session.  I find night shoots challenging and more rewarding than day shoots.  I have to work harder to setup the shots and light them, to find the locations, etc.  But the payoff is always so rewarding when it all comes together.

Tim & Calli wanted to start off at twilight and capture some of the fading light first.  Not a bad idea at all, since on the day I met them there was some fantastic clouds that allowed for some stunning images.  We finished with some night shots in NoDa.  Something different, away from downtown Charlotte.  Tim & Calli were fun to work with as you can see in some of these images….

Some time ago, back at the first of the year, I shot an e-session for my friend Laura and her fiance Brian.  You can see more of that session here.  Since then I have shot Laura’s bridal session and wedding and in this post I wanted to share images from her bridal session.  Laura is a great friend of mine and fellow photographer that I have since started a new business with.  So for her bridal session, it was important to shoot in a variety of locations throughout charlotte.  Laura chose some fun spots, including a miniture golf course since she and Brian share a passion for the sport!  We started at 4:30 and finished around 9:30 that Saturday.  Here are my favs:
