A couple of months ago I posted bridal images from Laura’s session here.  I still need to post her and Matt’s engagement images!  Those were really cool!  Anyway, Laura and Matt are one of the best couples I have had the pleasure of working with this year.   They are really laid back and are very comfortable in front of the camera.  I can tell they really love each each other and like to be together.  They were married at St Vincent de Paul in Charlotte and had their reception on the campus of Queens College.  What a great day!

The Troung family is a really cool family that has had me come out to take family pics for the last couple of years.  They have two boys now, the second of which was just recently born.  So I was fortunate enough to be asked to come out and take some pics of the little guy (not more than a few days old!), as well as family pictures, etc.  It was a cool session as the Troungs’ had a cool basket that I was able to use for many of the shots of their baby.  The baby’s room also had some cool strips on the wall that I thought made a nice background to work off of for some of the closeups of him with his parents.  In this sequence are a number of nice shots of their oldest son in a firetruck!  Both their boys were very photogenic and these images are some of my favorite.

I wanted to follow-up with some images of one of my recent sessions.  The Adamson family had me come out to take their daughters newborn pics.  You can see that session by clicking here.  What is cool about my job is being asked to come back and document a baby as they hit new milestones.  In this case, their daughter had turned 6-months and was beginning to sit-up, etc.  So I came back out to take some pics of her.  I have a number of clients that like to have me come out right after the birth, then at either 3-months, then 6-month/9-months, then 1-year.  It is a great way to document the development of their son/daughter and have a consistent syle to the photography.  We decided to shoot these images in the baby’s room, which is the coolest shade of pink.  Here is a sample:

Photographer in Charlotte, NC - Wonderful post and really informative. I am also associated with childhood photographer, I like to read new and fresh posts on this subject and I am your regular post reader. Thanks for writing such a good post.

If you live in the Charlotte Metro area I bet you did not know that we have an aviation museum did you?  The Carolinas Aviation Museum  is located right next to Charlotte Douglas Airport and houses a collection of civilian and military aircraft for the public to view.  If you are into aviation it is worth a visit one weekend afternoon.

So why am I mentioning the Museum anyway?  Well as the title of the post indicates, I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot out there recently.  Busch, a third generation pilot wanted to do a shoot in a setting that fit his career and suggested the museum.  I was pretty excited, since it was something completely different and challenging and because Busch wanted shots with the planes and jets in the background (no easy task considering the scale of some of them).  It was a fun shoot and Busch dressed in his military and commercial attire for the shoot.  Here are some from the shoot.
