When Sameer contacted me about the details of his proposal to Monica, I was super excited to be apart of such an important moment! Sameer went the extra mile to setup a uptown rooftop proposal, complete with Christmas Trees that were adorned with ornaments that commemorated his time together with Monica. He also had an awesome light up display that said “Marry Me” on it! With all the details and times in place, I waited eagerly for the couple to enter onto the rooftop so that I could capture what would unfold! Congrats Sameer and Monica and thank you for having me there to record that one HUGE moment in time! Now..here are some of the shots from that night, as well as our mini-engagement session that followed!

I am beyond humbled to receive the Couples’ Choice Award from Wedding Wire! The best part of my job is meeting so many great couples and having the opportunity to work with them over the course of an entire year sometimes. The fact that so many would leave 5-star reviews leaves me feeling so happy and overjoyed. 2015 was an amazing year for me and my business, but none of it would have happened had it not been for the people I had the please of working with. What a great way to being 2016! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making me your choice for wedding photography and allowing me to receive this wonderful award!

I loaded up the Explorer and headed west recently to photograph Randi-Morgan and Peter’s wedding at the Homewood Event and Conference Center in Asheville, NC. Homewood is a beautiful venue that resembles a castle on the outside. The grounds are exceptional as is the interior reception/ceremony hall. We were met with rain throughout the day, but undeterred we fought against the conditions to create some really wonderful imagery! Randi-Morgan and Peter had such a nice ceremony and reception and I am truly happy to have been apart of their day! Maybe my favorite shot of them is with the archway in the background. I placed a small flash on a lightstand (as well as an umbrella light in front) behind them to make them pop. I really love the way the light shines around them and illuminates the archway. Congrats guys, you were the best! I wish you many years of happiness!

I took a little drive west and met Jen & Patrick in Flat Rock, NC for an engagement session this past month. We started at an apple orchard near Hendersonville, before heading over to a nearby country club. It was a little cold out (leave it to me to forget to bring a jacket to the mountains!), but I love the early morning shots in the apple orchard, as well as those that we took beside a pond at the country club. Jen and Patrick look great in the images and I really like how well their clothing complimented one another and their surroundings. These two are very special people who I am honored to be working with!
