The Guzzo Family met me at a nearby spot in Charlotte for their annual holiday portraits. I think their smiles are infectious and the love this family has for one another really shines in the images below. You can see so much emotion in their smiles! We had some good laughs as we moved around chatting about 2015. Natalie is always so happy and I particularly love the solo shots of her with each of her parents! These are some of the images I love the most!

This is the best time of year for a photographer. Not only is this the final (full blast) push of the wedding season, but it is also the peak of the portrait season. October and November are the best months (and busiest) of the year and what I like the most is seeing so many great families again. I have now been working with some families going back to 2005 and I have literally seen kids grow up before my lens and families grow over the years. The McGregors are one of the families I have had the pleasure of working with for many years now. I have watched their kids grow up and it is always so much fun taking their holiday pictures. The colors were off the charts for this session and here are some of my favorites from the session.

I’ve been photographing the Danesis Family for many years now and this session may be the best so far! The weather was perfect, the leaves were exploding with color and the kids were in the best mood ever! We started the session trying to nail the coveted family shot before proceeding to the individual shots/candids. What I didn’t know is that the kids knew how to do the Whip! So among the shots below are some really great shots of the kids dancing and hamming it up in front of the camera. I laughed so hard that morning and it makes me smile every time I look at these images!

I’ve been in the mountains more and more recently and I love it! I love mountain weddings and engagement sessions and feel really inspired every time I shoot in Western North Carolina. Kim and Shaun were recently married at the 3rd Generation Barn Loft in Canton, NC. The barn is an excellent venue/setting for a wedding! What I like about the 3rd Generation Barn is how it is nestled in the mountains (right off the interstate) and provides a rustic and open feel to any wedding. It has a classic look to it, with plenty of charm to boot! Kim looked stunning and Shaun was pretty dapper as well in his Vans and sunglasses! Their reception was so much fun and I loved how their personalities shined through with the incorporation of so many fun decorative touches. My personal favorites include the Star Wars AT-AT Walker cake toppers and Vans Skateboard Groom’s cake! How cool is that!!! Congrats Kim and Shaun, I was so happy to record these memories for you guys and wish you all the best!
