The Fall is my favorite season of the year!  I look forward to the cool, crisp, clean air.  The Fall brings an explosion of color as a sign that Summer is over, but also that a new season of fun begins – one of family gatherings and many other joyous occasions.  For me, the Fall is also wonderful because it is arguably the best time of year for photography. Warm and rich colors, stylish clothing, outdoor weddings, and many other things come to mind when I think of Fall photography.  Add a wonderful setting and you can have the makings of a magical wedding!  Kate and Matt had such a wedding recently at the historic 1927 Lake Lure Inn.  I can’t say enough about the Lake Lure Inn!  It is fabulous for photography, as was the ceremony location right down the road and across the lake.  The ceremony site is surrounded by mountains and we were lucky enough to have pristine Fall weather for the wedding.  Kate and Matt are such an amazing couple and they were surrounded by many very cool family and friends that came from near and far.  Their love for one another is very apparent just by the way that they look at each other.  I was so happy to be able to work with them on their wedding day!  Combine that with such a scenic backdrop and I was in wedding photographer heaven!  I just wish I could shoot the whole thing again.  The wedding and the location had the feel of something vintage.  So in keeping with that feeling, some of the imagery has been cultivated to showcase the wedding with a nostalgic feel.  I simply love the way it all came out and I am super excited to reveal these images today.  Congratulation Kate and Matt!  It was a pleasure and honor to spend time with two great people on the biggest day of their lives!

Wow, I love going out to Saratoga Springs.  I am fortunate that I get to work with so many great clients, but I am also so happy that I am able to go to so many great venues.  Saratoga Springs is another one of those great places that has the right combination or indoor and outdoor charm.  Anna and Erick were so great to work with and I enjoyed shooting their “first look” prior to the wedding.  Anna’s dress was stunning and I love the shots of her dress and those of her and Erick along the fence line.  We had tons of fun shooting their wedding and seeing their family once again.  I love, love, love, the colors that they chose, as it really accentuated the feel of the wedding and added to the amazing “pop” I was able to capture in so many of their images.  Anna and Erick also added a local flair to their wedding by giving their guests something to remember them by. For those coming from far away, Anna gave her guests two wonderful local favorites – Sundrop & Cheerwine!  Erick added to this gift by including an Ohio favorite – Ballreichs Potato Chips!  All the added details – flowers, centerpieces, etc., made this day one to remember!  Congratulations to Anna & Erick, I was so happy to be there for your big day!  Some of my favs follow…

Destarte Bed & Breakfast provided the backdrop for Andrea and Jason’s incredible wedding!  Let me begin by giving a big shout out to Destarte.  If you are looking for an outdoor wedding with a laid back feel, this is your place!  The venue is top-notch and the staff is great.  Glenda and Adam make you feel right at home and the barn located out back provides plenty of room for your wedding guests.  Now, onto the wedding itself!  Andrea and Jason’s wedding was great in every way.  Their style really comes through in the images and I love all the details that made their wedding unique.  From the boots, sunflower bouquets, handmade arbors and doorways, (the list goes on…) and wonderful decorations, this wedding really stands out in so many great ways!  I am so happy I was able to be there to photography it all.  Take a look at some of my favorite images from the wedding day.  Jason actually setup a custom made arbor for the alter area and placed shrubbery and a doorway (that’s right, an outside doorway!) so that Andrea would have a fantastic entrance!  Loved it!  Later during the ceremony, Jason serenaded Andrea leaving many guests with tears in their eyes.  The wedding party and family of the bride and groom could not have been any cooler.  Andrea and Jason are blessed to have such wonderful families and friends and I certainly wish them the best!  Congrats you two, you rocked it from start to finish and I was honored to be there to capture it all!

I am excited to post images from Tabitha and Adam’s recent wedding.  What a great couple and wedding party to work with! Tabitha and Adam were married at Grace on Brevard and their reception was at Old Mecklenburg Brewery. Shooting at these two locations on the same day was great.  Grace on Brevard is awesome since it is right downtown. Old Meck Brewery recently moved and has a great room for receptions with it’s own private beer garden. The images are fun, candid, beautiful, and showcase Tabitha and Adam’s love for one another. Congrats Tabitha and Adam, it was an honor to photograph your wedding!
