You want to know what happens during family sessions? With most family sessions I try to capture a wide array of contemporary and traditional images. I find that by getting a little of both, everyone is happy with the images and they have plenty to pick from. A recent spring session in Salisbury is a great example of what goes on during my sessions. I had a really big family to photograph, so I was asked to get some nice group shots, plus some really cool candids of a family being a family. I either reflected or created the lighting, or in some cases just shot natural light only. Mixing it up is what makes the session fun and I really enjoyed this one.
