Monroe was the backdrop for Melissa and Josh’s recent wedding.  They had their wedding in downtown Monroe at the Bottle Factory.  I love the location for the wedding, as downtown Monroe provides a variety of great places for photography.  The Bottle Factory itself is an excellent venue for both ceremony and reception.  The exposed brick, along with the old feel of the building make it ideal for weddings.  Outside the Bottle Factory there are endless possibilities for photography on the streets of Monroe.  I could shoot for hours!  Melissa and Josh had an awesome wedding.  What stands out most is their genuine affection for one another.  To me, they really define what “love” is, as they have an enthusiasm for one another that cannot be fully explained in words.  That enthusiasm and love for one another bubbles over in the photography, making this wedding very memorable.  Congrats Melissa and Josh!

Vineyards are always great places for big events like weddings.  There are a handful of really cool vineyards in the Charlotte area and I had the opportunity to shoot at another great one recently.  Round Peak Vineyards is located in Mount Airy, NC and was the location for Lisa-Michelle and Charlie’s awesome wedding!  Luckily, we had great weather for the wedding and some really captivating skies.  Lisa-Michelle and Charlie had the best wedding and some of the images below are among my favorite for the day.  I love the shots in the vineyards, as well as those taken near sunset with the beautiful vistas in the background.  Personalized touches, like the props we used helped to make many of these shots memorable and compelling.  Enjoy the selection from the day!

I really LOVE the images from a recent bridal session I shot in Gastonia.  What is cool about my session with Cameron is that we were able to create some exceptional images inside Separk Mansion.  The windows in the mansion are spectacular and allowed me to be creative and have some fun with the session.  I also like that these images show a certain timelessness.  The backgrounds, the lighting, the windows, etc., all of it is very clean and will stand up for 100+ years to come.  To me this is one of the most important aspects of my photography, that the images last for more than a lifetime.  That the images evoke strong feelings for generations to come.  Enjoy the images and thanks to Cameron for such an awesome session!

Brent - It was my pleasure working with you all! Thanks for your kind comments and recommendation!

So I had a recent session with a wonderful family and a really cute little girl.  The family had this awesome piano in their house and I had the idea to take some shots of their daughter with the piano.  I think a future star is on the rise!  Here are but a few from the session, I love the contrast of the black/white keys, the wonderful furnishings and wallpaper in the house, but of course, the smile of their adorable daughter was the highlight of the session!
